General How Well Do You Sleep, As A Supporter

We haven't been sleeping together the past few weeks, but his sleep issues derailed my own schedule months ago. I still haven't been able to get back on track. It's one of those things that I think has done more damage to the relationship than we realize. We're both so exhausted all of the time. It's impossible to think straight or be civil when you're constantly sleep-deprived.:(

Finally went to the doc last week and talked about MY problems sleeping. He gave me some chinese herbs (darn it, why do you always have to take them THREE times a day..) which I haven't started yet. And some restoril (the low dose) which, I must say, works like a charm for me. I was worried (since I am the only one home with L) that she would wake up or have a nightmare or something and I would sleep through it - but its not like that, I do wake up, and I'm a bit unsteady on my feet at first, but not too bad, and then when I lay down again I GO BACK TO SLEEP! Hurray! So I slept well last night, despite cat being in (too soft hearted to leave him out as it was going to rain) and L getting up and coming into my bed at 12:30. Slept til 5 - got up to pee, then slept until 7. WOW.

Gratitude to the people who make those pills...

Last night I got about 4 hours of interrupted sleep.

First I could not get off to sleep, then hubby was un-settled for the rest of the night.

At Least I was up early.

I dont get it, 2 night of blissful sleep, even though we had our grandson staying, yet tonight after he has gone home nothing. I had to get up again as I was wide awake after being in bed an hour.

Hubby is snoring like a steam train though, so I suppose that is one good thing about it all.

I slept like a baby last night.

I was in bed before 9 pm, and asleep soon after. I was exhausted and need to go to bed.

I left hubby to watch TV and never heard him come to bed.

Last night we were both exhausted after a crappy day. So we gave up and went to bed at around 7.70, both slept a good few hours.

I am up and feeling better this morning, just have to wait and see how hubby is.

Thank you! Me too... but last night wasn't one of them!!!

I went to bed before 9pm, left Husband watching football. Still awake at 10:30pm when he came up. Dropped off, woke up when he had a coughing fit  and then kept wondering if it was time to get up yet. These dark mornings really are confusing when you don't have an alarm clock...

I was just settling down when hubby had a nightmare. Full blown twitching, shouting and not happy at all.

I woke him up and settled him down again, which meant I was awake for ages while he went to sleep.

Husband was very restless last night - I found that holding his hand calmed him down a lot and helped him settle and eventually sleep... me? Ha! I was ok until he rolled over and took my hand with him as if it was a bit of quilt!!!!! He nearly dislocated my arm and I was hauled across the bed - he woke up asking what I was doing trying to climb over him :roflmao:

I had a strange wake up as well this morning - I woke up with a real jump and with my palpitations so I'm not sure if it was my heart beat that woke me up or a dream made me jump and set them off or what. I was just dropping off again when the alarm went off and then couldn't quite snap out of the "just about to drop off to sleep" feeling - it was all warm and cosy - I'm sure I could have slept for a week if I could have just given in to that feeling...
