How's The Weather Today?

I got a half day today due to snow. Yea! My skis are waxed and ready to go; I just need to find someone to dig my car out!

Between yesterday and today, we're still getting snow! Before the snow hit yesterday, my husband built an angular tarp fort for the kids. I added a little bit of furniture and they are now quite pleased. This morning I've been up shoveling for the last hr. and a half. What a surprise, enjoyed shoveling and clearing off the porch, more than I would've ever thought. Had some fun. With son's mask hat on, my hooded sweatshirt and boots the only problem was my eyeglasses fogged up.

Snow, snow and more snow.....Up to a foot of snow expected today, with a bit of sleet mixed in.(just to make things exciting while driving) Oh I how I love snow...NOT!!!!!!!!!

In my van it's cold. I'm parked in front of a coffee shop so I can have internet. My van's heater went out about two weeks ago, so it has been kind of tough. I used to be able to heat the place up before going to bed and right after waking up. Now I just put on another jacket and let my toes and fingers freeze. No matter how many pairs of socks I wear, my toes still get ice cold in the morning. I can't imagine how cold it gets for those guys on the streets that don't have more than just a single blanket or a jacket. I have so much compared to them.

Oh, back to the original question... It's sunny and about 35 degrees, but I'm in the shade. It's actually beautiful out today.

Mid twenties (farenheit). About 8 inches of fresh, white snow on top of last week's ice, which makes walking treacherous. Powder, so it's light to shovel. Street almost deserted; cars removed for weather emergency and most of the neighbors sleeping in. Cat desperate to go out; dashed around the side of the building leaving little paw pockets in the snow, then came back quickly and yowled to go back in. His long fur looks so beautiful against the white stuff but he does not like the cold. The sun is out and everything twinkles.

Sunny and 82 degrees! I do not envy those of you living in cold, wet places. My 4-year-old daughter who has only been in snow once (and didn't particularly enjoy it) has been complaining because it doesn't snow where we live and begging me to take her to someplace where she can play in the snow. I don't think it will happen this year.

OMG!!! Thats so Not Fair!!!

Snow, Snow, Snow..... i am sooooo jealous!!!!!

This is the first time I have been able to say what the weather has been like apart from cold as I havent been out and I didnt need to go out to know it was cold

But today...its raining here (YAY the rain)....no snow but rain. Am sure I will write about why I prefer the rain and snow to sun at the moment but this isnt the time or place (you will be relieved to read).

So the weather here; Rain and Cold...I may open the door to see if I can find the thermometer to give a temperature reading

Anyone who wants frigging snow can have ALL of ours!

We still have 3.5 foot drifts and can't get the truck all the way to the house. We have to park the car out at the road and snow shoe to and from the house. Groceries are brought home on a sled (oh, what fun it is to right a one person open sleigh...that's fallen over). Trash is taken out the same way. We have to conserve water because, since the truck can't make it home, neither can we haul in water (we have a cistern), so we haul laundry out on the sled. I take showers at work.

While I don't mind the exercise (snow shoeing to the car in the dark, millions of stars) I do mind having to leave an hour and 20 minutes before work to get there on time. It really shortens an already short day...

You'd think I lived in Alaska, but no, just No. AZ.

I'm praying for an early spring. The earlier the better.
