Not professional help... but I did ask my neighbor (the less-creepy one) to grab my laundry out of the dryer and bring it up to me.
I injured both my knees, though one much worse than the other- and I twisted the opposite ankle to that particular knee... those stairs have been killing me all day, and it's been difficult to walk. To top it off all the strain on my uninjured ankle has caused it to swell, too, so I'm ultra bandaged and basically gasp-waddling everywhere I go. Despite this, I went ahead and did four loads of laundry because it was TIME.
Asking for help is one of the hardest things for me to do even if it seems like the simplest thing ever... I even considered going on BlahTherapy to consult with another human as to whether or not it was completely insane for me to have so many reservations in this particular scenario... but luckily I a) considered that even asking that would be kind of insane; b) said screw you to what I recognize as a very glaring personality issue; and c) asked ole dude to do me a solid and bring up my blankets.
AND HE DID.
Waaaaay simpler in action than in my weirdo head.
And I am very, very pleased.
