The complaint I made to my local mental health team got Rejected

Yesterday afternoon the team responded, basically saying thank you for your feedback, but we're unable to take it forward because the issues stretch back further than 18 months- but of course they do, I am complaining about the service as a whole not justr one or two insodents.

I thought I was really getting somewhere with letting people know how they were doing as a service, but obviously I am not and I'm crushed. After what they told me about not taking it forward, I am trying to imagine how am I going to live for the rest of my life knowing that they took away my dignity and my safety, and they just don't care.

They just Don't care. it is so hard

You still made the complaint, so you did let them know how they were doing. Unfortunately we don’t control how others respond, you did what you could, hold your head up high and remember you tried. You made it known you were unhappy.

Sure, but how can they just shrug it off?

Also there is a chance (actually quite a big chance), it's going to happen to others

Unfortunately people suck.

If it’s criminal you could go that route. If it’s a local group you could figure out who is in charge of them and lodge a complaint higher up the chain of command. Sorry you’re too vague for me to know how to advise.

Even though they aren't moving forward with your complaint, it might add to a list of complaints from a variety of people that can't be ignored.

You stood up for yourself and kept your dignity in tact. That was the most important and bravest part. You never know what's going on behind the Bureaucratic curtain. Perhaps your example will spur somebody or some bodies to do the same. Or yours will be the complaint that catches the eye of the person empowered to make the change.
