I was diagnosed with PTSD a few months ago following a traumatic childbirth 2.5yrs ago. My husband just left, he is exhausted and he says he doesn't love me any more. To all those spouses of sufferes of PTSD, I am sorry for what you go through. What can we do to make it better for you and not lose you? :(

It sounds like you (and your husband) have been dealing with undiagnosed and therefore untreated PTSD for a couple of years. That's hell on wheels. Now that you have been diagnosed are you receiving professional help? Can you, or your therapist, reach out to your husband to try to explain to him the implications of PTSD? If the child survived, be careful about how this is presented because you do not want it used against you in relation to child custody proceedings.

Focus on yourself and your recovery.

Feel free to PM me - I went through a traumatic childbirth 20 years ago. I support a combat veteran with PTSD.
