I do not. Auvelity is a combination of DXM and buproprion - which inhibits conversion to
DXO (some of the DXM you ingest normally gets converted into DXO, which is what most benefits me. Thus I elect not to use buproprion concurrently), but potentiates DXM.
So at least one antidepressant is able to be safely mixed with the drug, but you would need to research the dosage amounts. In Auvelity it is 105mg of buproprion and 45mg of DXM per tablet.
However, DXM can contribute to serotonin syndrome which means it
can interact with certain antidepressants like SSRIs. Buproprion, being an
NDRI, has
less action on serotonin receptors than a medication like Zoloft, for instance.
What antidepressant are you on and how many milligrams per day do you take of it? I could give you a better answer with specifics.
