I need everyone to know about this drug. It's called Auvelity.

Not sure if I am typing this in the right spot. Anyway, I read this post about DXM and it’s basically my exact experience. Used DXM (cough gels) to relieve suicidal thoughts and crushing depression. The DXM also increased my productivity at work (when I was working) and made my creativity flow much better. Anyway, I am now taking Auvelity which is a combo of DXM and Wellbutrin in an extended release tablet. It has completely transformed my life. I am leaving the house, feel engaged with my family, feel an interest in hobbies again, and on and on. I thought at age 50 my life was basically over. Auvelity has helped me “wake up” and become, I don’t know, like a human being again. It raised my blood pressure the first week or two I used it but now I’m fine. I have zero side effects. Well, maybe a little anxiety from the Wellbutrin. Auvelity is super expensive although it uses two ancient, almost no-cost compounds. But I would work full time and dedicate as much of my paycheck as possible to get this drug. Just work for the drug. Way better than living in a dark fog and thinking and dreaming about suicide. Total life changer. I tried like 15 or more SSRIs and other depression meds and they did nothing. Now I’m back and looking forward to 20+ years of life with my family.

Curious how you are feeling now? I had this same experience except now I feel numb. Does it still give you that happy feeling?

You might want to give it a shot, because DXM is an entheogen and it is known to increase feelings of wellbeing and harmony/cooperation. So it may very well cancel out the "meanness." But if you notice that you're still mean after a few days or a week or so, you can safely just stop taking it.

Well, if you are wanting to trial it, it is available though the link that Weemie put up in a low dose and not expensive at all. The DXM part of it is anyway. I am trialling it with my Pristiq as in Australia Wellbutrin isn't available. Basically, Auvelity is Wellbutrin and DXM. If your insurance will cover Wellbutrin you can access the DXM through Amazon or the website Weemie put up early in her post. I have found it is good for when motivation is lacking.

I have been off and on wellbutrin for the past 4yrs if not more. I’m currently prescribed 150mg and i can say I've been consistent with taking it daily going on 2 months now. I just can’t find the middle ground. I'm so stuck with life that i find every day tasks to literally seem like the end of the world. Where i once was so energetic, ambitious, outgoing, and quick to have a night out with friends or take my son on a crazy adventure. I barely can make it out the door and for a walk to the mailbox. I find no joy in anything and its hard for me to feel it within side of me. Even if im smiling and having a bunch of laughs, most times inside im still feeling empty. I use to love golf, going to new places and doing new things and thats just not me anymore. Getting out of a 7yr relationship that I DID NOT want to end but unfortunately it had to, does not help my situation. Im so desperate for something to help me find meaning and purpose in my days again, im tired of feeling emotionally unavailable for my son who deserves the mother he knows im capable of being to him, and just my all around happiness in general. I ordered 30mg dextromethorphan today after reading through many reviews. I guess my question is do you suggest i stay on the 150mg of Wellbutrin and start slow with the Dex? Or should i stop with my Wellbutrin a few days prior and try it on its own?

The medication you get from Robocough/DXM Direct is the same component that's in Auvelity, dextromethorphan. You would order the freebase version. Auvelity is two medications though, DXM and buproprion. So if you want to take Auvelity proper, you will need a prescription for Wellbutrin as well. As mentioned, a standard tab of Auvelity is 105mg of buproprion and 45mg of dextromethorphan. You can get the same benefit from 100mg buproprion and 30mg of DXM (or one freebase RC tab).

I'd say try 30mg! See how you feel. If nothing, try 60. You can take up to 120mg safely according to the FDA. (I just say 120 for safety but I do take higher doses here and there, but I know a lot about this drug and my own body so I cannot recommend that to anyone else, but my avolition and catatonia are severe.)

If the 120mg doesn't help, try switching your Wellbutrin dosing time to the opposite end of DXM (so wake up, take 120mg of DXM and no Wellbutrin, then at night take the Wellbutrin, wake up, etc.) and just taking DXM so it will have less inhibiting conversion to DXO. This'll help you more with goal directed and motivated behavior.

You can also try dissolving the tabs in sprite, it'll make DXM citrate.

I'm happy to have come across your post! I just started Auvelity (today is my 2nd day). I'm wanting to learn more about DXM.

I read that DXM metabolizes quickly on its own, but wellbutrin stops it from metabolizing so fast. You said you're taking DXM only. Does the DXM help your mood for only a few hours a day or it helps your mood all day?

Also, you haven't built up a tolerance to DXM over the years?
