I think that's great you started an exercise program. Despite my past I was an active normal child. In high school I played girls softball and ran track, on a volley ball team. I got my varsity letter. I had some pins.
I went back to see my mother and I forgot two things: my yearbook and my letter jacket. I could kick myself for that. I'm finding lots of people I went to school with on facebook and don't remember what some of them looked like. Back on track; I was in the army and exercised all those years. I look forward to exercising. It does release my stress.
I'm having a bit of a weight problem now. Crosses the lips and stays on the hips. I'm not overweight just a bit more than I like; age and metabolism. I also have osteoarthritis-getting older. I have some back problems. But I keep moving. A while back I overdid it and have injured some tendons in my hip and have runner's knee.
So I'm taking it easy which was very difficult for me, since I was so used to pushing myself. Finally realized I won't get better if I don't back off. I can walk two miles now. I used to run and I hope to start running again in Jan. My new years goal. Easy does it of course. I started running five k's in Corpus and have won some medals; for my age group of course. I'm proud to have them.
Anyway-please keep exercising. So many adults don't exercise. I've read exercise is the fountain of youth, health pill, etc. Just take it a little farther each time you exercise. I've learned the hard way one gets injured if you try too much too fast.
