They have some specifically for weapons & ammo. But the kind you can pick up at any hunting store (or organic foods specialty, or heck. Walmart) does the trick as well. Pull out and fire/strip/store every few years just to keep the mechanisms mobile.

Ahem. Don't counter with firearms. Counter with gas. (And planning ahead for egress). Whenever possible:, go old school. Because training is modern. Old school problems are a bitch to solve on the fly w/no training to cover it. Greek fire, or any kind of sticky fire, is a pain. (In part, because it add the FD to any circus.) Caltrops. Ammonia sends dogs home (I love dogs, but they can't handle busted vials of ammonia), and means you're tracked with tech. Which is easier to hide from than dogs. New school again, make them sweep for explosives. You don't even need to actually be wired. (Better not to be. Send them home frustrated, not craving blood). Fake Semtex is pretty easy to mix together. Just leave telltales to make them think you're wired after you light up a demo to get it on their minds to begin with. So... Now that you've slowed their approach to a crawl... You exit in a timely fashion, and kick the supports out behind you as you go. If you have to do a runner / can't dig, make sure you have a spaceblanket style poncho so you're not a bright glowing dot on the helo's monitors.

Just don't overdo. Those are some ideas. But key is just to distract them & slow them down. I've actually known a couple knuckleheads who were so intent on their master plan they got themselves caught still trying to implement. Simple = Sexy. Heck, jumping 2 or 3 fences and coming out the neighbors' house around the corner works more often than not.

Well, I can tell you guys know what you're doing. I don't. I'm not SF, never will be. Don't know all the tricks and strategies. I live in a home that would be very difficult to defend. I'm a fair shot, good to maybe 200 yards. So, I'll just be part of the propaganda. An example of how we're out-gunned and have no hope.

Somewhere along the line, we ceased to be America and became Amerika.

I have a lot of old school weapons that I made myself...battle axes, a roman gladius, 7-foot spear made from 6" sections of 3/4 pipe nipples. Cave man shit, but effective providing you get up close and personal. Cross bows are good too, silent, close range.

They had a Youtube (that I couldn't watch) showing exactly that. I don't understand how they can see through the heat waves coming up off the desert floor, but they do, with deadly accuracy.

they compensate for the heat. at that range I would think it was either several shots to aquire the target or just a real good dope set up and guess. He got real lucky.

I have some great ideas on barricade house to house fighting. Esp. with multi story housing. The key is to always have an exfil available. Tough to do in suburbia usa. I know I could take out a 3 man entry team. The hard part is the guys after that.

Then you have to consider the rapid and excessive response that would occur. And if they were seizing weapons or hauling off vets to a camp, they would have a ready reaction team in the area. It would happen at night and with little warning. I think the only heads up will be the homeless will go first. They are the low hanging fruit for them.

I'm like you Sarg, we live in a home that would be very difficult to defend, (on 5ac of desert & mesquite) but I will do my best. (We may have some friends at Camp Saunders) The wife and I are to old for this shit, but we will fight. Hell we can't run, walking is getting hard for me. The wife can shot OK with a 45 auto and smaller, but look the f*ck out if she has her 590.;) Me I have been shooting since I was 7, went to high power at 12, long range around 13. Took my M1A1 Super Match (M14) to a 1000 yd range a year or so ago, light winds and f*cking hot. My best group was 6" 8 out 10. The rest were 8" to 10", 10 for 10. When I shoot handguns, I use a paper plate with my hand outline on the plate and put all shots in the hand at different ranges. However all that don't mean shit!!!

I wrote this on another site for training: Hiding from helicopter(s) if it's an Apache, day or night you will have a very hard time trying to hide from it.....To give you an idea, you make one real big fire and hide behind the fire. The systems on the Apache can see you and not the fire. You have no idea how good the systems are today.....The systems will be very hard to beat. Lets not forget, other type of helicopters could have even better/newer systems....You will not win!!!!

The way I look at it is simple, I took an oath a lot of years ago. I still stand by my oath. To tell you the truth, I can't think of a better way to check out. Me and the Beast, doing what we know.

JR, you might be interested in these guys...http://oathkeepers.org/oath/. They were kind of goofy about the Bundy thing, but it was their first big response. They already know the mistakes they made and see the need for more training. The thing is you have military mixed in with Law Enforcement. Both have entirely ways of handling a particular problem and they need to regroup and use the best of both.

I'm sure after the Bundy thing the fascists will be watching every move these guys make, so be aware.
