Enough Is Enough
While some members here are really good at accepting that a warning or infraction is the system's way of letting them know an area which they need to improve on, there are others who turn around and attack as a result.
The forum clearly states its guidelines and there are links on the top and left of each page to all the required information. As a member you agree to follow the rules and as an editor my role is to help ensure people follow the guidelines for the benefit of the community.
I am starting to tire of members sending me a PM after they receive any infraction telling me how I should do my job here, that the message should be more delicate and then threatening to leave the forum because they don't like the rules being pointed out to them.
How many times does it need to be written all over this forum that warnings and infractions are automated and we do try to explain to you the problem so you have the opportunity to grow? It is not personal but as Anthony has also clearly stated, sending carefully written polite messages to people has not worked hence why we have the current system.
When Anthony set up the system he and I trialled it and receiving a warning or infraction is the same as receiving a PM so I don't understand what all the hullabaloo is about from some members.
While I can ignore verbal attacks and empty threats from members I wish to remind those members once again (as is all written in numerous posts over this forum)....that PTSD is not an excuse not to follow the rules of the community.
Thank you
