Hey @Gadgie love the name, lol. I'm just across the water from you!!! Just wanted to say I love the poem you posted. I relate with it a lot. I have a similar background to you, apart from I didn't lose my partner through cancer. It was my mum. Had the traumatized childhood too. Also I suffer from ptsd because of the NHS bastards made a really horrible mistake that was close to losing my life! Then they send me to therapy and because it was NHS it was no good. Eventually got into insight charity make a donation counselling and they tried to help, but eventually said there was nothing else they can do for me!

I'm quite new to the site as well and it's nice to find like minded people, because living with this PSTD is isolating, especially when no-one understands how crippling it can be! Even talking to the most caring, kindest person doesn't help that much. What does help is when someone relates and you find your connection and realise - finally, I am no longer alone in this hell. :hug:
