Hi. I'm also new. It was a big shake up for me too. I knew I had social anxiety disorders, but thinking in terms of PTSD was a bit shocking. Sometimes when I'm having a hard day it helps to go to youtube -- yes that's what I wrote. :) Through 'healmyptsd' a sweet gal has made several video's with good advise or simply a soothing voice when you're alone. I've found that the hardest thing has been not having others to talk with that understand what may be happening. If you allow the videos to help, I think they can -- at least a little. I know that at first I didn't want to hear anyone's chipper love-n-light because I felt too down to go there. However, knowing that this person in the videos has been through it herself makes a big difference. As they say, I'm willing to buy the baloney if it's good. :)
BTW, sometimes she films on her porch and seems unaware that there are screaming children in the background. If this is something that might be upsetting sounding then choose indoor looking videos.
