Im in the UK where there is little to no point of reporting your rapist to the police as only 5-15 percent of rapes are reported and only around the same percent ever get to court and of those that do only 5.7 end in conviction. Not to mention survivors are treated barbarically. So over a year ago when I was drugged raped and filmed and the assholes drug dealer stepdad got him to delete the video after showing it around town so I couldn't press charged I decided to take action to protect other girls. I outed him on social media under an alias on a popular site. I gave his name, a link to his facebook, the two towns he moves between and where he works and a full account of what he had done to me. Recently the family tried to strong arm me into removing the post as the man has been suspended from work and supposedly tried to commit suicide. Denied being the author of the post and told them to involve the police they wont do it as they know hes guilty and have their own drug business to hide. They accepted this but recently asked I write a letter for them lying and saying the dick didnt rape me. My partner and I are convinced they want this as he must have done it to another girl and the post could be corroberation to any legal accusations against him. So next week my partner and I are going to make a 3rd person report so there id a record against his name in police files that will support any of his current or future victims. We can do this anonymously. I am worried his criminal family will forge an email or letter from me denying the rape as there is no way im going to give them one like they're asking. Would it be a justifiable risk for me to contact the police station in the town where he works to alert them to what the family has been doing or to contacted his boss and say that I am making no statement on the issue so any correspondence from me after that is false and he should report it to the police?
