I didn't read all the previous posts, just wanted to say that somehow there is a photo of the shooter that shows the GSW to his head. I saw it floating around on Facebook yesterday and it's been f*cking my mind up ever since. Don't know how it was posted or how it remained up that long, and can't believe something like that was even leaked in the first place.

There are so many unanswered questions about this man, and it can be so difficult not having answers. However, I think the most important thing right now is the people who were affected by his actions; so much emphasis on him, it is the victims who need our support right now :) They have gotten quite a lot of blood donations in the area, but will still be needing more as time goes on, depending on where you live, there have been several blood drives for the victims in town for those who are able to give. There have been collections taken, there are many ways to help :) instead of dividing over opinions about the man responsible, we need to unite in support of those whose lives have been changed because of this, they are the important ones. My thoughts and prayers are with all affected, if you or someone you love was affected, sending hugs to you:hug::hug::hug:

I've been thinking about both of those things too. The brother part makes sense to me, but you have to know more about my family for that to make sense. I have a biological brother. We haven't spoken in several years. If, for some reason, the police asked him about me, they'd get a story that I, and most people who actually know me, wouldn't recognize.... But it would be believable, if you didn't have any other information. One of the things I've read is that their father had a rather interesting criminal history. Apparently he made the FBI 10 most wanted list and was, at one point, referred to as a "psychopath". Now, I don't know who decided that or how, so I take it with a grain of salt, but I find it interesting. I've had more personal experience with that type of person than I like to think about. Growing up in a family with a dose of that? It will have an effect, I promise. Hard to say what and "what" will probably vary from person to person, but no one escapes unscathed.
I don't get the "no manifesto" part. Most of the time, it seems like the people who feel they have the right to commit this kind of atrocity want to make darn sure at least someone gets their point. Honestly, this is one of the things that makes me suspicious of the girl friend. She says she "had no idea"? I'm trying to understand the scenario where your SO is collecting THAT many guns, apparently over time, and you "have no idea". No saying it's not possible, just that it's suspiciously weird. If he actually had an axe to grind against ANYONE, it baffles me that he never vented about it to anyone. Seems unlikely. So, maybe there's more they need to find out or maybe something else. @Dr.Knowbuddy , at this point, I'd certainly leave your scenarios on the table as possibilities. But, to what end? Who'd actually want this to happen and what are they after? No matter which side of the political spectrum they claim allegiance to, they'd be "The Bad Guys", as far as I'm concerned.

That's an opinion. I believe I am allowed opinions here. It is up to you if you choose to be disturbed by it. And it is given by a person who has a personal stake in the MK Ultra 'conspiracy'. Having gone 'missing' in the foster care system here in Canada for months during the 60's, I consider it to be valid. I have no need to press my point, having made it already, but would appreciate being able to state an opinion without being called disrespectful please.
My best friend through all of school and her family made it home today. Her and her mother have some minor injuries, but they're all physically okay. We live on the other side of the country, and they seem to be relieved to be back home. She has a physical disability, so it was very scary to imagine her being in this situation.

Shimmerz, I've gone missing for months and months during the early 60's, too. You are not alone. You, me and the good Dr. are getting into a pretty deep and touchy subject, you have to admitt. Its probably too deep for general consumption. Ronin is a pretty wise cat and I respect his opinion. He has been around the block a few times. I'm splitting on this topic, too.:D
