This is a beautiful film and the book was great too but I had difficulty at the time because I’d to had very strong SI and at times when suicide was thwarted instead of seeing it as happy and gently humorous I would feel crippling sadness for the character. Last night I cried in the right place and it showed me how very far I have come. The progress can feel hard to see but the change in reaction and emotions is very very real
