Living with Grandmother With Alzheimer's

So.... My grandmother has Alzheimer's. Runs in the family. Yes, she's hit me. Wouldn't dare try it now that I've regained my lost strength. She still slings those select words though. And tries to get me to kill myself.
Yknow, she used to tell me my depression was fake.

Until she self diagnosed with it, then it was VERY real, apparently.

My mother also has some pretty bad mental problems, but Human Services is helping me get her committed.'
Until I can get away from them, how can I handle/cope with them without.... well, yknow, throwing my brains into a blender.

My grandmother has Alzheimer's.

That must be quite a difficult home life you are experiencing right now. How advanced is her disease?

Wouldn't dare try it now that I've regained my lost strength.

So.. she no longer hits you? You are now safe from that kind of abuse?

My mother also has some pretty bad mental problems, but Human Services is helping me get her committed.'

Is Human Services assisting with your grandmother too?

Until I can get away from them, how can I handle/cope with them

Idk @Pyro you seem to have some assistance with Human Services. You could seek some support through a Alzheimer support group either in person or online.

Do you work outside of the home or are you the main care-giver? Probably getting some respite care or finding an outside outlet or activity for your own health would be what I would be trying to find.

Take care..

Well, for starters, I guess to give an idea on how advanced it is I'd say she has the mind of a child. Yknow, temper tantrums and the like. Cussing and breaking things. She hasn't hit me in a loooong while, but there's honestly no predicting what she'd do. She's put her hands around my neck several times. DHS isn't really concerned with her, they're more concerned with my mom at the moment. My mom makes it a habit to make swings at me, follow me around and harass me, all that kinda stuff to sum it up.

So in total, you can't really predict what they'll do.
I can't escape them either, not until I move away for college.
I'm not allowed to have a job because I have to watch over my grandmother. It's annoying how she constantly tells me I'll never make it in my career, even though I've already been accepted to the most well known college for my career path.
My aunt is the only thing forcing me to deal with my grandmother for now. When I get my mom committed, I'm gonna try to find my grandmother a home as well because my aunt refuses to look after her because she treats her caregivers like human trash or something. She's queen bee and everyone around her are ants to be stepped on.
Hopefully my social worker will help me find a place for her, too. I can't stay around people that constantly try to get me to off myself.

Yeah I agree with what you are trying to do. You do need some support and it seems you have that. I don't think there is anything else you can do but hang in there until you can move to go to college.

It's really hard being a caregiver for adult family members that are aggressive or abusive. Reach out to all the available support services you can - for physical and financial assistance.

If you can remember each time there is a tantrum or an outburst from your mother or grandmother that they do not have the capacity to be rational anymore due to a disease process rather than a personal dislike of you ... will that help you internally rebut their verbal abuse?

even though I've already been accepted to the most well known college for my career path.
You might look into early housing, if the school has summer programs. Could get you out 4 months sooner, in the beginning of June instead of the end of September. It’s a good way to ease the transition, and have a few credits in the bank if you need to take a light quarter later. Work-Study or a part time job over the summer, meanwhile is money in the bank.
