I have been working pretty steadily and the great thing is most of the travel has been close enough that I have been able to take Hank with me.

I have a set of the door body bands so I have been able to workout every day while on the road. Also, some of the hotels have really nice treadmills so I have been doing a lot of running - I was able to bring Hank into a few of the hotel gyms because there were no other people working out and the hotel desk people said 'go for it'.

Lots of running and then some icing since I have a bit of a back tweak.

I am doing the polar bear 'swim' this year for cancer research - it's on New Year's day and is only an hour or so drive from where I live.

Hope you all are doing well and feeling how strong you all are regardless of what physical/emotional/mental barriers there are. More later!

18k run yesterday in the coldest weather of the year.

Sometimes when I am having a tougher day, I can run and appreciate the ability to move each foot, to choose to run, to be able to come home, to a home with warmth, and to the most amazing companion, Hank.

So then after my run and that beautiful feeling afterwards, I challenged a friend to do some Ashtanga yoga instead of going to a movie which we had planned. She was up for it and we called the instructor who does the community yoga. She came over and ran us through the routine - we even saved money we would have paid for the movie, snacks etc.

Today I am a bit sore but loving it.

Got a 15k planned for later today but it's icy as crazy here so I might be modifying the run a bit.

Stay safe!

@City Slicker : Swim safe, my dearest polar bear. :coldfeet::coldfeet::coldfeet::hug: You're a crazy girl and I love you for that! Take good care!

I didn't do much during the past weeks, some running, some Badminton and a bit of OCR-training. It's gotten pretty cold over here but I'm stubborn and outside for my runs. :D

Did not enough Yoga, my jaw is tense. I'll try to do it more regularly again.

Twenty minutes run followed by half an hour of dancing and three hours of brooding that I'm doing nothing.:rolleyes:

But in the hilarious sickness exercises, I won on all day long rounds of boxing nausea back in, silent yelling depression to stand down, grabbing the flag announcing defeat and ripping it to shreds, and running miiiles away from survivor's guilt! It's got to f*cking count.

@Anrish!! Your comment gave me the biggest laugh - thank you for that. I love, love your sense of humour.

I should tell you that last week I saw a groupon for in-air flight lessons and I considered it...for a moment... and then I added up the cost of in-air flight lesson to become a pilot and thought I could better invest my money in good running shoes and some gas for road trips with Hank instead!!

Plus I think it's better if I keep my feet/skates on the ground for now lol.

I love this time of the year for running - the colder the better - although I have to put lotion on my face so my skin doesn't freeze. Plus it's hard to keep a nice warm scarf over your nose and mouth when you wear sunglasses to run because everything fogs up!

20k yesterday and scaling back a bit tonight to 15k just before the snow comes. Hank comes with me for a quick 5k in the am but it's more a warm up for me so I don't count it in my days end tally.

Doing a bit of Ashtanga Yoga and enjoying it. Pulled the crap outa my neck for some reason (I think it dawned on me that I was bit obsessive when the instructor told me to slow down and that Yoga was not a strength sport - although I beg to differ with Ashtanga !! lol)

So today I am nursing a stiff neck lol. This is my idea of joy! Truly.
