curvdspur,
After reading what you have been through I am hoping since your post you are getting the help that you need. I am currently in school to earned my degree in psychology and I will be specializing in treating police officers with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Although I am not an LEO I have been around them all my life, I myself could not be a cop because I have panic disorder, but I wanted to be able to work with law enforcement and help those such as yourself who desperately need it. I lost a friend, an officer who had a great impact on me to suicide three years ago. His name made me realize where my help was needed. I'm also outraged at the medical establishment that cares more about money then helping people. We all need to support ourselves but how can you turn your back on someone who needs you? If I ever have a client who cannot afford to pay then I won't require a fee, it's just that simple. I'm not going into this to be rich, I'm going in to protect the officers who need me, I've always been on the right side of the law and when I've need a cop they have always been there, now I plan to be there.
I hope that you are well and know that you are not alone, there are those who care.
