That was the codine. And you may be someone that can't handle mucinex (though you might want to try Mucinex chest congestion which is has only Guaifenesin in it as active ingredient). My point was it's not this bad medication as most wouldn't have that sort of reaction. Honestly I think it depends on how much Dextromethorphan is in it or if there are two medications on it that causes nervousness/anxiety then it has a bigger impact.
And, I suppose my other point is it's worth looking at the ingredients as so many take what the box says at face value and side effects never enter their mind for over the counter meds. I do anyway, every time I buy medications and yep, I am the weird person standing in Walgreens googling each ingredient lol.
