My 2013 Christmas Wish

Dear St Nicholas;

I know
You are busy
Right now.

But I ask you
For this one special favour
As my Christmas wish.

A wish
Which benefits
Not only me
But many others
As well.

And no
I am not asking
For world peace
Or to the end of poverty.

All worthy causes
One can ask
For the eradication of.

Rather
I am asking for
The ending of PTSD
From all forms
Of childhood abuse.

As an adult
Still trying to deal
With its impact
Upon my life.

Sometimes
With mixed results.

For no child shall
Have to endure
Such depravity
And agony
At the hands
Of others.

I understand
If my request is
Too much for you
But this suffering
Has to end.

Just hoping
You could make
Another miracle happen
For the world's children.

For the beautiful wish, I for one would like to share in it ;-) Also I would like to wish the adults who have had no childhood (abusive childhood) all the patience in the world when it comes to dealing with themselves. Including myself.

Amen.Let all forms of abuse be recognized and halted, family and wife domestic abuse, and wars, and refugees, and homeless,

We all know in our daily lives that 1 of 4 women are affected and 1 of 8 men. God pour out you love on the victims and the victimizers. After all, you created them all. Aleve the inner pain or mental sickness that lets men abuse children. We are hurting even 60 years after our abuse began.

Thank you, everyone. When I wrote this, I felt like, I was being selfish, in asking for this. Knowing there so many others, who needs are greater than my own.
