My Big Dysfunctional Forum Family

This might sound a little (or a lot ) weird to some but here goes...

I come from a large family. I have 6 sisters and 6 brothers. I call us the lucky 13. We were all abused as children by our father. And although we had our moments we always got along. As adults we all wanted to "break the cycle " of abuse and did so.

Anyways... This forum reminds me of my family. We fight, we bicker, we disagree but in the end we really care about each other

Oh and Anthony and Nicolette are our parents who keep us in line when we break the rules.

Yes, even when someone disagrees with me, like someone did today, I still LOVE this place and all of the folks who frequent it. I belong to a couple of email groups here as well. We have one challenge ongoing about Self-Esteem and another about Happiness. The goals in both cases are to improve these things in our lives. Not all the same people are in each of these groups, so I cannot say how many of us are involved or are still active in them. Every once in awhile, someone who has been inactive pops up again and participates. We are all very close and understand one another's lives well.

This place is some of the best therapy! Yes, better than family, in my case.
