My Cat "blue" Died Today

I am heartbroken. I brought him home when he was 8 weeks old. Nicole sobbed uncontrollably when I told her; we read books we had gotten at the library about what it's like when you lose a pet. She wants to have a funeral and draw a picture for him. We're going to attach it to a balloon and send it to him in heaven.

Blue was my baby. I named him that because when he was a baby he had the bluest eyes. He was "fresh" to everyone but me but he was suffering and I knew in my heart it was time.....

Oh, Heather... I'm so sorry. Losing a loved one is always so difficult. I like the pictures you posted, though - remembering the good times is what's important.

Thank you all - My mother (No longer human but a DEFECT) refused to take him to the Vet. I walked in yesterday morning horrified to see him listless on the back deck. I scooped him up and brought him directly to the the vet's office. I went in without an appointment and begged to be seen.

He told me that he had no muscle left anywhere on his body. Was dying *sigh*. He most likely had intestinal cancer and was slowly starving to death over the last several months.

I just started to weep uncontrollably.
