My T Is On Vacation Conflicted

My T has been on vacation for 2 weeks and I have been seeing on of her associates. I feel like I am cheating on my T. I really like this person I have been seeing and sessions have been so much easier for me with this replacement T. I want to ask if I can switch but am having major conflict with it. I am scared to ask. I am scared for the answer. I am scared how my T I have been with for 3 years would take it. ANy thoughts how to approach the subject.

I would broach it with the replacement, first. Get their take. Also see if they have availability!

I agree with FridayJones, check with the replacement first. But the way I see it is you are in therapy for yourself. You need to do what is best for you. As we grow sometimes we outgrow our current therapist or sometimes they can only take us so far then we need to move on to someone else who can take us through the next step. A good T will understand this and only want the best for you.
