Name Changes, Post Event(s)

I never thought about changing my name until recently. Not my first name but I would like to drop my last name. Both my married and maiden names. Sometimes they feel like brands of ownership. I am the daughter of, the sister of, the wife of. I was never Me with those who branded me with their surnames. I was powerless even with my ex who treated me very well, until he didn't.
I would keep my first and middle names. I still might do it. Time will tell.

gunna drop the last name.

got a middle name that can be a surname, but i (well, one of my parts), wants it to be hyphenated with my first name. which leaves us with no surname.

is that a thing? like, can you actually do that?

i mean, its not like im Cher or Madonna....:cool:

I've soooo completely thought about this. I'm not sure how my husband or family would take to it. But I've wanted to for the longest time to just change it all. I think if it were just me I would. It's interesting to hear that others have.
