My partner right now is taking a bad panic attack and she says that she feels this crushing pain in her chest like her heart is on a vice and getting crushed, has any1 experienced this before ?

Mine is the exact opposite, I sometimes feel as if my chest is expanding and that I've got to scream to let it out. Have her lay on her back and take deep breaths. The 7-8-9 method works. Breathe in for seven seconds, hold for eight, exhale for nine.

Thank you for getting back to me, when this happens to you do u notice if the pain can move around your body.

And if she can't make it through 7-8-9, there's 4x4 - in for four, hold for four, out for four, hold for four.

Any breathing pattern, start a clock - she'll need to do it for a solid 5 minutes at least, don't give up.

Panic attacks often cause chest pain, and when combined with anxiety, the pain can be interesting, to say the least.

Blood pressure can also cause the pain, and blood pressure may change during a panic attack / heightened anxiety, which may swing either way. There are medical implications and those that are just normal of mental health symptoms.

Sometimes. It depends on what triggered me or what I'm panicking about. A lot of the time I feel like there's something in me that needs to get out, so I'll thrash around, scream, cry, hyperventilate, scratch myself. Anything to try to get whatever is in me, out.

Ha! Ya. Interesting to say the least. Crushing, burning, razor wire, tightening, the other kind of burning... Whole dang carnival of not-fun. One gets used to it in time, though, at least IME. Sucks, but isn't scary. Just a pain in the ass. Well. Somewhat north of there, anyway.

If she's never had her heart checked out, it's usually worth it just for the peace of mind.
