Needle-like Pain In Head

Hi!

I am generally struggling with physical symptoms (numbness - especially in thighs and rest of legs, nausea, constant heartburn, dizziness, the feeling of tingling and/or needles in different parts of my body, muscle twiches, general pain etc).
But now I've felt an intense needle-like pain in my brain, specifically towards the front on the left side. It hurts, then passes, but afterwards the area kind of feels cold. I've had the same cold feeling in my brain afterwards when I almost have passed out.

Have actually been feeling better than normal lately, not so chaotic and stressed.

Anyone else had any similar experiences with this? New symptoms makes me so anxious....

Sinuses pressing on a nerve, you may have a polyp in your sinus cavities or an infection. You don't have to have a ton of mucus to have an infection.

Please, for the other symptoms, get your vitamin levels checked.

Thanks for your reply. It could definately be pressing on a nerve, as my muscles are so tense I tend so get a lot of nerve pains. The pain is at the top of the head, but more towards the top than the back.

I have had my vitamin levels checked (test were abnormally good actually!) and have been tested for MS and a bunch of other things. My doc thinks it's the PTSD which I now feel safe to believe. But when new symptoms come I get anxious.

Thanks again.

I have certainly experienced most of these. All of the above can be caused by anxiety and or serious medical problem. There really isn't any reliable way to tell the difference. If you are concerned that your symptoms are physical, go to a doctor and have it checked out to be safe.

Don't know if it will make you feel better or not, but the pain you're describing can't be coming from your brain, because the brain has no nerve endings. Can't tell you what it is, but brain pain isn't physically possible.

This is a new symptom? I would see a doctor about it for sure. It's probably nothing, but the almost passing out thing isn't something you want to just ignore.

It may be ice pick headaches. They're called that because it feels like someone is hitting you in the brain with an ice pick. I've never suffered with it, but my sister does. What she describes sounds like what you're saying

So sorry that you have been struggling with such terrible pain in head. Will suggest getting chiropractic therapy for permanent relief. My cousin had a similar problem, went to a Mississauga chiropractic and got it cured permanently.
