Nephew And His Wife Od'ed Outside Of My House Tonight

My nephew and his wife have been trying to kick heroin..They had been staying at my sister's house but she kicked them out today...They went and got heroin did a hit and drove to my house...They sat outside in their car and did another hit which made them OD..I heard my dog barking so I looked outside and saw what I thought was their car..I waited for them to knock on the door but they never did so I went outside and found both of them passed out...My nephew wasn't as bad but his wife didn't look like she was breathing...I ran to her side of the car and her eyes was rolled back and every now and then she would gasp for air...She was dying in my arms...I grabbed her phone and called 911...My nephew had come to and started shaking her so it kept making me lose her pulse rate...The ambulance finally came and was able to save her with Norcam..This is causing flashbacks of me finding my son dead bad.......it really sucks : /

This is horrible! I am thankful that the ambulance got there in time to save her, I am sure it triggers you to wish that you could have saved your son. But please know... you are not the reason that your son died. He was hiding his grief internally. He had a plan and followed through. You will see him again in heaven and I am sure that you can feel him in your heart every single day. His spirit may have even alerted you to check in front of your house. Many hugs to you today!

Personally I'd be giving them a consequence and setting a boundary. No matter what their circumstances they aren't allowed on your premises with drugs. But I'm a hard ass and I don't enable.

I can see why this would cause reverberations of your son. Detach from those two, there is a reason they were asked to leave your sisters.

That is horrible! Very understandable why it would be so triggering....upsetting for anyone, but so many reason that much more difficult for you. I totally agree with setting the boundaries....you have to take care of yourself. Be extra kind to yourself in the next days.
