Medically retired a year ago and the VA still hasnt made a decision yet. Been diagnosed with PTSD, TBI, had surgery on both right and left shoulder, and for some crazy reason, I pass kidney stones every 2-3 months. I keep getting the run around when I call the VA and my service officer at the DAV hasnt been much help. Is there ever an end to the wait?!?!

Hey Dan, this is one place where the FNG is welcome. The more the merrier.

The VA no matter which country your from is always slow. You have to look at them as a big medical insurance company. And like all insurance companies, when they are inundated with claims, it takes forever to process.
Have a look at insurance claims after natural disasters. We had Cyclone Yasi early in the year and I know of people with straight forward claims which still have not been processed. Whereas the war on terror is into its 11th year now and imagine how many of our fellow brothers and sisters suffer from this beast.

Sorry to sound so glum, but many veterans on here have been waiting an eternity.

Where are you from buddy, and who did you serve with???
I am not being nosy, but once we know where your from, some of the other guys and gals on here might be able to point you in the right direction for additional help

Cheers

Jimmy

Welcome, Dan. Pull up a chair and join in on the discussions. You'll find good people here, who are going through the same things you are, so we surely understand.
