On The College Dean's List For The Third Time

I want to graduate from college in the Criminal Justice field/Homeland Security. I want to succeed. Since starting over back in school, I'm almost done with the Criminal Justice/Homeland security curriculum and will be the first in this college to graduate with this curriculum, thus earning me a yellow sash for my graduation. I'm so stoked! I have worked hard to overcome my anxiety about school and I feel as if I'm succeeding. Although I have four classes starting next week, I can't wait to finish this quarter up. I have two more quarters to go and then I'll be graduating. I'm almost in tears. No one believed in me so I believed in myself.It's very emotional talking about this...I proved my family wrong.

This is awesome! You should be SO proud of yourself! College is hard enough, but when you have anxiety it makes it that much harder. Your success is really remarkable and inspirational! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you all. I've had some issues with a couple of my teachers but they didn't let me get in the way of my education. I don't know if I'm going to a four year college yet because there isn't a program for political science. The 4 year here doesn't offer it.
I want people to believe in themselves and go for it-even if you are afraid. Breathe. Consider yourself for a change and not be afraid even if you are. I had to make the choice for myself...to better myself and to give all the naysayers a middle finger. I feel better now that I went for it.
