Animal videos on Pinterest. They never fail to warm my heart, make me smile, and/or make me laugh. People are so creative and the animals are just so adorable.

having an indoor job on the day shift, on what is very likely the 50th anniversary of a muddy outdoors in the dark shift on a construction site wet to the bone and cold cold cold. Sometimes traumatic memories bring the satisfaction of knowing that it wont ever happen again

A hare hurtling down a hiking trail, missing me by maybe 20 cm as I held my buddy to one side so she averted collision. The animal might have been doing 50 miles per hour. Nothing was chasing it, maybe it was just as mad as a November hare.

Amid much consternation and clucking from local command, the new girl arrived.

We get on like a house on fire. She gave me her phone number in the first five minutes. We sat up all night drinking to celebrate her arrival, then the Team Dad made us breakfast this morning while telling her how much fun I am to be around (I obviously don't act in real life the way I write here).

I'm chatting with my ex girlfriend. Our relationship failed to external factors, not lack of love. She wrote a poem about me. Nobody has ever written a poem about me before.
