Our Pets

My cat Ziggy. I am very proud of him. After his brother died, he seemed to be very sad and was allowing all the other scrawny cats in the neighbourhood take over his territory.

But Ziggy is fighting back now. He is chasing those scrawny cats away. He is a sight to be proud of with his fluffed up fur and tail, growling and hissing at our neighbour's cats. He is a big fluffy cat anyway, but when he is fluffed up like that, he is like a big powder puff!

Then he goes and lays in the sun on top of the rabbit hutch, keeping company with Lilly the rabbit, who also lost her sister a few weeks back and I think she is lonely.

I hope they like the chickens we are going to get. Going to get a really friendly variety.

My dog is being a real riot today. I threw her toy around for her and it landed on the coffee table. She then jumped on top of the table. Then she had this look, "what the hell did I just do"? She then started to slide around since the top is glass. Then she tried to jump off when she was sliding all over. She was able to jump off. Got to love pets. ;)

I've got 2 geriatric sheltie dogs named Luke & Ben (as in Skywalker and Canobe). I'll have to see if I can find a pic...and figure out how to post it!

I use Phtobucket to load the pics. Then copy the addy and insert into here.
Put your mouse on top of the pic on Photobucket site but don't click on the pic. Then the menu will come up. Right click on direct link.
Then left click on insert on this site. In the insert menu then right click and paste then click post.

LUKE

My pups. They're both sable shelties. Luke is 12 years old, and Ben is 11. Their motto is "To protect and serve when we darned well feel like it" and are the two toughest little furballs behind a pane of glass you're ever seen. ;)

History of Fred. He was the same age as the husky I used to have. Fred was in the same puppy training class as my husky years ago. Not sure if Fred is still living though. As you can see Fred went onto agility racing in my area. He was one smart pig.

I have a new pet........ A giant huntsman spider has adopted my bedroom as its home. It was bad enough when it was in the kitchen but then it moved to my ensuite. Do I like having a poo with a hunstman over my head? NO!

Now it is in by bedroom staring its beady eyes at me. And daring me to try and catch it. Now if anyone has ever tried to catch a hunstman. DON'T DO IT. They jump down at lightning speed and will have you leaping up and running for your life. And, then, just to spite you, they will turn up in an even worse place; like in your bed! :(

Now I do not kill huntsman spiders, they are good spiders. And besides I would miss and it would probably jump on my head and bite me. And, if by some miracle, I did hit it; the mess on the wall would be uncleanable and I would have to stare at it and remember how I murdered a spider for the rest of my life.

So what do I do now? Do I sleep on the sofa because the huntsman is squatting in my bedroom? Cause I know what it is going to do next. It is going to make a nest and have millions and millions of baby huntsman spiders, cause that is what they do. That spider is fattening itself up on the thousands of cockroaches that live in my bathroom cabinet (I know you are there you little buggers ) so that it can lay a million eggs. I know it. It is breeding season. And my bedroom walls and ceilings will be covered in millions of baby spiders!

Sleep is just so over-rated anyway.

Anyone want a baby huntsman spider as a pet? I think I will have a lot of them to give away soon
