This makes sense to me. I've always been sensitive to sensory stimulation, but since PTSD, it's gotten way overboard. I am much more sensitive to loud volume of any sort since PTSD. I can no longer go to the movies or live performances of any sort because the volume is so high, it literally rattles me. I have TV, videos etc. on a very low volume and even then, when I'm really stressed, even the low volume can make me feel like something's pounding my brain. It's not physical pain; it's just this awful sensation of being bombarded, like it vibrates terribly through my whole body and totally disrupts any sense of well-being.
