For @bellbird . My two year old brought this little seedling he planted home from playschool. It reminds me of the possibility of the little tiny growth possible with the love and help of others when we cant ourselves..?
Also I love crazy ornaments and found this chick on saturday, had to buy him.

So many awesome kodak moments up in here. Thanks for the giggles, the awe, the realness, and for sharing so many special-to-you images captured in time. Y'all rock.

This was last night's view of the moon rising behind the trees and the temporary fire pit space being prepped to partake in letting some heavy internal things go up in flames. Including mourning the death of a snake that the hubby accidentally hit with the lawn mower. :( Not sure if it's the same one we saved from the bird netting, but it was the same kind. I couldn't bring myself to take a photo of that.

I saw this little box turtle a couple of days ago while taking our dog for a walk on a favorite trail. The dog didn't even notice, and the little turtle didn't tuck his head inside his shell.

Today on the same trail, I saw a beautiful pileated woodpecker (black with white and bright red plumage) and a hawk. It's not a particularly rural area, but there's not too much foot traffic through the area.

@intothelight, ponds are so inviting! looking at your photo makes me want to grab a camping chair and sit for a time at the pond's edge. As a child, I would spend so much time laying on a log that was over a creek, in our backyard. I would watch how the water made the water crest sway in its current. I could watch the small trout swimming, too. I always was awed by the world that existed inside the water. The water mesmerized me and still does. Love your photo.

Tidal pools are places where I have been known to stand over for long periods of time, too, watching the life that goes on in them! It is like looking into a private world that I am not part of.
