Hello All,
I came across this forum on Google and thought it might be a good idea to join a type of "support" group. :-)
Growing up I was abandoned by a few family members, abused mentally by some different family members and molested by a family friend.
I was diagnosed with PTSD and slight bi-polar about 6 years ago and am actually now working on myself. I have been through a few therapists who just sit there and listen, but I started seeing a therapist who I feel is actually making progress with me. At the same time this is the hardest thing I have been through in my entire life. I am getting to the point where I am so exhausted that it is hard to get out of bed some days and that it is hard to function at work because i feel like my mind is on data overload since I can't remember a lot of simple things and I second guess myself A LOT!
Anyway, I am just on here to understand PTSD better and to hear other peoples stories and their approach to life with PTSD. I look forward to hearing from everyone and feeling like I'm not alone.
Thanks!
