Ptsd And Being Older/wiser

When I was in my early 20s, back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, my then-girlfriend always called me "old man", not because I was "more mature" than my years but because of my depression, pessimism, and of course the PTSD.

I feel older than I am; this stuff ages a person. Older as in closer to the end.

ON the other hand, I've learned to let myself play like a kid sometimes; since when I was a kid I had to grow up too fast.
 
I think it may have something to do with having the ability of insightfulness that comes with PTSD. It is like one gift from it or survival mechanism...
 
Wow, cool to see a lot of people have gotten this their whole lives too!

I have *always* been told this since I was old enough to be spoken to past silly faces. It actually was really hard for me a lot of the time. I had trouble interacting at all with peers until I went to a four-year college, where it was easier to find people I could relate to about at least some interests.

I also think it helped to attract a surreal number of pedophiles to me. >.<
