Hi all-
Without writing a novel, I am making my way to the other side of decades of interpersonal violence. History of chronic emotional neglect and physical abuse going back to my earliest years of life until walking away at 39 years old. Triggers daily, but working through that by getting plenty of rest and down time, as well as art therapy and my support cat. One of the major contributors to my mental health was learning boundaries and limiting interactions with triggering people and situations. I have limited my circle to a select few and spending time engaging in activities that are likely to produce triggers. I hope to help by offering advice and support to those negotiating a PTSD or cPTSD diagnosis.
