Is this forum a good place to talk about sexually exploitative/ abusive relationships?
I may need a whole other website. Not sure.

I can't speak about the sexually exploitative part, but I'm sure many other members here can. And I can certainly relate to abuse. I don't think you need a different website, though I suppose it wouldn't hurt either.

Yep, many here have been one or are currently in one.

I find this site is a great place to talk about most anything trauma equating to PTSD related. Any trauma causing PTSD.

I was in a relationship like that. I don't really talk about it because of the shame, but I can probably talk in general terms.

I think this is a good place to talk about any sort of trauma. People are always understanding and I think there's always someone who can relate at least on some level.

Yeah, I can relate. It's like I want to share it- I just want to know if there's others like me out there- but then putting it out there is REALLY scary actually. And I have a lot of shame too

You have found an AWESOME place to find help and support for the traumas you have mentioned. The Forum is FULL of compassionate, friendly, and empathetic people. I have been a member since 2011 and have found GREAT help, and GREAT friends along the way!
I am sorry that these traumas have come to affect your life!

They say that each time you talk about the things you're ashamed of and find that people don't judge, it mitigates the shame. And it's pretty anonymous here, so it can't hurt.

If you decide to share in the thread, there are probably other people on the board who've been through similar things. Alternatively, if you want to talk about your experiences together privately, I'd be open to that. There's a "conversation" function on here for private messaging. I've never used it, but I'm told that people often do.
