A family who live near to me are incredibly negative, and relish seeing things going wrong for other people. They're actually quite helpful, at helping things to go wrong. The mother in particular has a negative since of humour.

The daughter (she's in her mid 40's) is a total exception to this, she's lovely, happy, smiling, caring, laughing (but not at disasters and misfortune). I'm convinced that she was a mix-up at the maternity hospital, there is no way that she shares any DNA with them.

With my very toxic and negative neighbor, I need to learn to "lie" more when she asks me a question or at least not answer her questions honestly.

I can see now why her negativity has been bothering for quite some time. She will put down anything and I mean anything and give you 10 good reasons why she feels the way she does. Now, I just scream and burn some incense to clear the air after she leaves.
