Sorry about any typos...I did not sleep much last night or the night before and when I do not sleep a couple of nights then then effects of my TBI really start to slow my brain down and it affects my typing quite a bit.

Hey, you're in luck, Dawn - I grew up in Edinburgh - about thirty years, so I know the place pretty well! The very best haggis is MacSween's and they are available in a lot of places. I have a recipe if you want to try making it yourself, but most people get a bit put off by the opening line: "Turn the sheep's stomach inside-out and scrape well..."! :)

I dot around a few places and am not quite sure where I'll be living if you ever get over here, but if I'm near Edinburgh, it would be great to meet you!

Jan

wow, that sounds awesome Jan. I would like to try to make Haggis on my own. Cooking is stil one of the few things I really enjoy doing. However I will definitely check out MacSweens also when I do make it over there and it will still be a while before I can make it over there but when it gets closer to the time, i will message you and let you know where I will be and how to get in touch with me and if you are around then I will definitely look forward to meeting you!!! I feel real close to everyone I have chatted with on here and I would love to meet all of you. I just feel safer and more at ease around veterans and those who understand veterans. I think you are all aces in my book.

Elizabeth, thank you for your sweetness, helping others helps me a lot, never too sure if I sound Batty or wise...lol...I guess this has affected my self confidence as well as my hubs.
Dawn, sorry I did know it was Dawn I just have my head shoved so firmly up ptsds A**E that I'm forgetting stuff...lol..You must get over to Edinburgh at some point,We were stationed there for a few years as the hubs was with a scottish regiment and It is a wonderful "soul healing" place with fascinating history and beautiful countryside round about.Plus you never too far from the skirl of the pipes...must admit Jan is right about the haggis but you must also try one from a chip shop, they deep fry it in batter and it is wonderful. Also not to be missed is..........Dont go sick on me........Deep fried pizza, its the first thing I head for when we go "up the road" to visit hubs folks.
Jan,didn't realise you were in the UK(head up ar*e syndrome again) Hubbys a wegian, but don't hold that against us.
