Childhood Satanic Ritual Abuse

pprof

New Here
I have searched for a forum where I can have an open, honest discussion of SRA in the catholic church with other survivors. I don't think I can talk about the specifics of the abuse that I experienced. When I have revealed specifics to therapists, usually 50% of therapists refuse to work with me. They are too freaked out by the trauma.
Many priests abused me between the ages of 0-14 yrs. They would ritually rape (gang rape) me. In addition, the priests would incorporate torture, terrorism, scatology, murder, and cannibalism into their rituals.
I have spoken to many trauma therapists and most have assured me that SRA in the catholic church is commonplace. Ho-hum. They hear about SRA in the catholic church from their patients every day. Commonplace as it may be for trauma therapists, SRA in the catholic church is so horrible that the public refuses to believe that anything so dreadful could actually be true. After decades of the clergy abuse scandal, the public has become inured to the fact that priests are child abusers. Sexual abuse has become synonymous with catholic clergy. No one is surprised to learn that their parish priest is a baby raper.
SRA is a different issue.
I suppose that people are afraid to speak out about SRA in the catholic church because it is taboo. SRA in the catholic church is so horrific that decent people would not stoop to discuss anything so distasteful.
Another reason that people won't discuss SRA in the catholic church is that many people who have spoken openly about SRA in the catholic church have been discredited. Perhaps there is a fear that discussing SRA in the catholic church will lead to being denounced and stigmatized. No one wants to be vilified for voicing unspeakable truths about the catholic church.
It is time to end the silence.

There have been some people on here who experienced SRA in various forms. If you do a search you can read past threads that might be of interest to you. Or you can start a diary and write about it as much as you like. Idk if there are any current members who experienced that.

What kind of discussion are you hoping to have?

I see the old posts about SRA. Ideally, I would like to discuss the realities of SRA in the cath church with others who've had similar experiences. I would also be happy to speak to people about ptsd and childhood abuse. People who have undergone SRA in the cath church are reluctant to speak up. If we don't speak openly about this topic, more generations of kids will suffer.

You might want to create a poll to see how many people on the site have undergone SRA in the cath church?

Or start/contribute to a thread on a specific aspect of ptsd and childhood abuse?

Just saying you will get more engagement if you have a specific question that people can answer.
