Sooner is better. The whole point of DBT is to give you a fairly infinite number of ways to cope with being overwhelmed. Even if you were occasionally stressed by it - so much the better, because you can practice skills.The question is how soon is better (safer) for me as I tend to develop SI when I get overwhelmed.
