Sentenced To 100 Years

Today I went to the sentencing hearing. The judge was AMAZING! If you were allowed to hug a judge I would have hugged this man.

He sentenced him to 100 years. Because of the statutes some of the counts he was convicted on carry a concurrent sentence, but he made the sentences he was allowed to consecutive. Bottom line, he is not eligible for payroll for 30 years. He is 50, so basically a life sentence.

Justice does prevail sometime.

Sit out in the open and laugh together, like you have never laughed before.

Go do all the things you have not been able to for so long.

That is fantastic. It is wonderful that justice worked for you. I can't imagine what you are feeling, probably all jumbled up but with a lot of relief.

Congratulations Deb. Not only a freeing event but one of restored balance to justice. You and your daughters are now free from the fear which paralysed you and stole your lives for such a long time.

While you can never bring back the lost time, you can now rid yourself of a huge worry and fill your mind with glorious things you can do happily as a free family, with no fear........enjoy what you have regained.

Also well done for having the strength to fight for you and your family's right to live in peace without fear.

Great news Deb...just wanted to say thank you for sharing your story. Even though my perps never got any convictions, I feel like justice does work. IMHO, he deserves a whole lot more, but I'm sure that will be taken care of in the afterlife.

May you and your daughters find peace and serenity after such a long struggle. May you remove all the disfunctional and hurtful elements from your lives. You deserve happiness and respect!!

The funny side of this is most people comment that jail for murder here in Australia is 20 - 25 years so they reckon, when talking in comparison, life in jail is a lesser sentence than marriage.

This time it's definitely the other way around.
