Well I'm hating the fact that I've just copied and pasted my diary post from word into the forum as I always do and it's turned it into an image? What?! And only half of it is there.

There is nothing to fix. That is a local issue on your computer, as paste works fine for me.

There is just no reason to write in word and paste in here, especially now with auto draft saving for 24 hrs.

Right okay. Unsure how that is an issue with my computer. I shall have another go in the morning.

The 24hr auto draft is a big improvement to the site

Have already experienced the benefit of the drafts feature, as my brouser decided to nod off to sleep mid diary post. Very nice. I am far too grumpy and intolerant to want to rewrite things thesedays.

I always cringe in fear when the site is upgraded. Things that are wonderful for most people are often horrific when you use a screenreader. But so far so good. Noticing and enjoying the improved speed, and all the bizarre "error, this page could not be displayed" messages that I was mysteriously receiving in many areas of the forum seem to be gone, which is fantastic.

Also like the "similar threads" feature, good for when you want to research a particular issue without wanting to play around with search terms.

Must admit that all the trophy stuff was meaningless to me, so I'm happy for it to stay gone.

Oh, and I also like the increased privacy as a result of limiting views of guest before they are required to register.

Back... thanks, it hadn't actually gone anywhere, just wasn't viewable due to another application needing installation. Fixed.

I don't understand the English in the original post: Smilies are still missing when I write a post. I suppose this is still normal with the upgrade having been performed? And smilies will come back (or are they gone for good)?

I can highlight, can click on "Quote Me" which pops up, but nothing appears in the text box...

Haven't been on a while and although I broadly checked announcements and the help desk, I couldn't find anything helpful.

I'm on Mozilla Firefox 23.0.1. which seems to be the latest version.

Hi, prime-no, I had similar problems after the last upgrade, maybe this will help?.. Move your mouse over your personal tab (on the top and on the right side of the forum page). a sub-menu opens. Click on preferences, a transparent black menu opens. Then fill the field besides: Use the rich text editor to create and edit messages..Close and refresh the browser. Now it should work. (Please excuse my terrible English today, got a fever during the night.)
