Someone Changed My Info At My Dr.s Office

Went down there today, but didn't learn anything new. They did confirm they didn't have any signed consent forms from me or someone pretending to be me. They have a big book they keep all of the originals in and they went through it.

That sounds both very strange and very sloppy. It seems like there should be a record of where they sent it, and that that would be easy enough to find. Also WHO sent it. Because I'm thinking they would like to know who was so careless as much as you would.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if it was removed from the binder by the internal investigations unit since it was the receptionist looking for it. I'll have to call them back tomorrow.

All my hopes and prayers someone dropped a Latte down the filing cabinet and your records got stuck to someone else's. AKA anyone not your ex = confused recipient medical office + holy shit HIPPA! + they're in the certified mail being returned with a sternly worded letter from one medical office manager to your medical office manager = flooding relief it wasn't Mr&Mrs Assholio.
