Something positive I will do today...

I'm having a hard time.
But, I don't want to drown in this feeling. So this is for anyone who wants to join.

What is one thing you can do today to make your day or yourself, better?
What is something good you can do for yourself, not in the future, but TODAY?

Me:
I will have a ballet barre workout at home for 20min.

I may work the rest of the time, progress might feel bleak, but for 20 min the day will be about ballet and nothing else.

What about you? How will you be intentional with your day or how you treat yourself?
 
great question, seeki. my 3 orphans are due back from a week with their maternal family today. the week of freedom from childcare duties was divine and went entirely too fast. i am feeling my 70 years as i reluctantly prepare for the rush to prepare for the return. grump a lump, grody harrumph. . .

but, likewise, i don't want to drown in that feeling. what a good time to be reminded.

after i put away the family-league groceries which always the last step in preparing for their return, i think i will treat myself to a candlelight bath. i already feel less grumpy as i ponder my lazy fingers forming mythical creatures in the bubbles. think i'll build a unicorn in your honor, seeki.
 
I will exercise, I had stem cell injections in one of my knees a couple weeks ago so I am rehabbing that. Yesterday I did 1:40 on the treadmill. Today I will do more and try to do some outside. I will do my minimal weight routine. If it gets above 40f outside I will go for a motorcycle ride. I will do some house cleaning. As strange as it sounds, having a reasonably clean living space somehow makes me feel I am a worthy human. I will read, part of the reading will be in the jacuzzi. I will take time for meditation.
