I just realized that anything from the old crocodile Hunter show will trigger me. It was a show I watched alot when I was with #2 and I didn't realize it effected me until I tried to show the old show to my granddaughter and then tried to watch a show with Terri Irwin narrating. How freaking stupid is that.
I feel so dumb.

I kinda chuckled.....Crocodile Hunter-I liked that show.....but it doesn't remind me of my X and isn't a trigger........I can't turn on our president Trump.....he was on from the time the TV went on until bedtime......oh, yes.....Trump' A Trigger for my X!

I think the original trigger makes a lot of sense.

Mine can be totally odd. Polling station stickers. Yeah. It had a memory that set of the panic cascade .

Initially lots of my clothes and colours I tended to wear. (That’s got better, my guess is because it’s something that has to be faced so much)

My own hair . Very difficult.

I can’t think now but some really silly, day to day things have set me off. It’s not what the trigger is ; it’s what it triggers. My voting stickers got me some Facebook hate ( my friends were posting them for me to generate positive associations and someone decided my ptsd trigger was not legitimate and my ptsd was fake). No one has to know why it’s a trigger for us but us and the professionals we engage with. I actually think it’s great if more people understand that they shouldn’t have to trigger warning every thing because inoffensive stuff can trigger a panic attack or flashback because of the nature of memory.

I get very nervous listening to the crickets at night. I don't care much for light rain at night either. They both bring up bad memories.
I have always been amazed how just sounds or smells can trigger memories.

People. All because I was screwed over by my ex and after he tackled me, I started talking to psychics which messed me up even more. I feel so stupid, but that was the worst choice I could have ever made. And now I keep making even worse ones.

Stress from a project I wanted to finish...had 4 hrs .....finished painting a project, .....got my head screwed on better.....(at least for now).
Got a new diversion-my pier has been unsafe and super rotton so I haven't been fishing or using the pier. Guy came today to fix it....saved up to get it replanked....and they are going to add a bench...Like just 10 new boards completed and the first railing up.....oh, so very exciting...I needed a diversion as this week has been really crappy.......I just want to sit on my pier and dream about a fish loving my bait enough to say yes! Chomp! Not worry about what was....or what I can't control.

My strangest one is certain kinds of weather and smells (like a hot summer day and the bright light). Hot smells. I didn't think I could call it a trigger. Sound of can ring pulls opening. The smell of someone when they come in from the cold. I do have others that are probably more normal but the weather one is weirdest.
