I avoid discussions all the time RJ... though unfortunately, as the admin, and someone who has studied PTSD and its comorbid symptoms for 6 odd years now, I also can't let misinformation continue, or atleast outline it as such, otherwise the forum begins to become watered down with misinformation vs. factual information.
It is like the DID debate... if you looked alone at how many have come here with DID, claiming they have it as they have been diagnosed with it, the odds are technically impossible that that many people exist with such a rare disorder all in one place. There was a lady who tried to self promote the other day, that an editor caught, DID... she had a blog that she was posting in it under all her different personalities. If you know the disorder, then you would know that is impossible, so the person is a malingerer outright, the exact issue with DID, being people like to say they have it for the fame. It is like PTSD now, it has become the same... though both PTSD and DID are about to change significantly to stop all the nonsense...
Point being... often I am seen as the one challenging things in threads, which kind off comes with my role to ensure the forum remains a factual source of information, and isn't over-whelmed with inaccurate content such as EFT or NLP are trauma therapies, which plenty have tried here over the years... neither of which proved positive for any cognitive function in studies, the same as actual trauma therapies have proven successful within, things like NLP and EFT failed miserably.
I would love to ignore even more things here, like you do... but unfortunately I cannot if I do my job of keeping this forums content topical, of sense, and as unbiased as possible toward any one known, but instead open to all the facts surrounding each known.
