Poll Superpowers Or Personality? Flight V Invisibility

In this episode of This American Life, a man talks about polling people he meets: would they prefer invisibility, or flight?

Some conditions apply.

-There would be no other superpowers in the world, only yours
-You get no extra powers beyond these (no super strength or invincible qualities)
-Anything being worn while invisible will also be invisible; everything else is visible
-You can fly really fast, but you can't carry anyone or anything you couldn't normally carry the same distance
-You can fly anywhere within the atmosphere, something like up to where jets can fly (see episode for details ;))

So which would you choose, flight or invisibility?

Including the gender with which you identify could be helpful. It's mentioned as an aspect in the episode.

Since anything I'm wearing at the time is also invisible, can I walk into a store and put clothing on and not have to pay for it? Or better yet, a jewelry store? Whoa, that has potential! ROFLMAO

And if you're invisible, you'd never have to pay admission for anything ever again. You could crash the most private parties. You could get into the most private events.

Flying? Eh. I can already get in a plane. This one doesn't seem to have as much potential for me. That is, we can already do flying of sorts. We can't really pull off anything even close when it comes to invisibility.

And you could use the invisible bit for fighting crime. Or exposing the corrupt!

I haven't answered yet. But I'm really leaning toward invisibility.

100% invisibility. The thought of flying just seems so dangerous, too reckless for me. I am not sure why but that has always been my first impression of the thought of being able to fly as a super power.

Would i still get to keep my super secret hideout with lot's of booby taps and high tech security system?

It just feels safer to me to be invisible. I do have to be out in the world sometimes, and I hate it. Whenever I'm out in the world it seems I get attention, which I don't want. I guess it should be flattering that I still turn heads at my age, but I do not like it. I just want to be invisible.

In my dreams I can do both, but not always very well.

I used to have my own ultralight plane, so I really do love flying (and we have at least 2 other pilots among the regulars here) but I think invisibility was always the more appealing of the two ideas.

Flight. I remember a dream from when I was little where I was flying down the road and it was the most exhilarating feeling in the world. It was so vivid I was really confused when I woke because I was convinced it had actually happened!

The only time I've come close to that feeling in real life is once when I was dancing. I was practicing jetes (leaps), and just for a moment I got it (I wasn't that good a dancer), and it was incredible. I felt light as a feather, and free.

Also I remember a book I read as a teenager in which a girl became invisible. It was horrible. I don't remember it that well but I do remember she ended up witnessing sibling incest in the house of a boy she fancied. Since then the idea of invisibility hasn't seemed such a good one to me.

Flight, without question. Truth is, with as scatter brained as I get, I would try to walk across the road while invisible one day and SPLAT! But flight would solve so many transportation problems. Definitely flight. :)

Flight! (GO FAST WITHOUT WORKING HARD!!! Yay!!!!) PLUS I can do high up stuff without ladders - Oh, does it include hovering? So I could get the mistletoe out of my trees? :)
