Alright strange topic, but I'm genuinely curious. So I recently saw a promo for Switched at Birth (ABC family drama) and I decided to see what all the fuss was about with their most recent episodes. I've never cared much for any of ABC's dramas, but I was pretty impressed. The show is attempting to tackle the issue of campus rape and although I don't agree with everything, I can really relate to what has been presented. I believe that rape needs to be discussed in a much more serious and mature way so it doesn't become such a taboo subject anymore amd i think this was a good step towards that. So has anybody seen any of these episodes and if so what did you think?

i have not seen the episode, but i have seen that commercial for it. I was a victim of campus rape. People tole me it was just sex, that I was drunk and people mess up, they acted like it was just a drunk night out for me, but I did not think so. People were even walking up to me in the dorm saying "i heard you and _____ got it on the other night!". That is not how i felt, i was modified and humiliated! It took me a long time to realize what had actually happened to me and at that point it was years in the past and I was too far gone. People need to make it safe to speak up and say something happened to them that they just dont feel right about.
