That's something . I cant say what one should or shouldn't do, but I do know it can be really hard not to beat up on myself when I take a break whether its my body telling/forcing me too, or my brain just taking a dive. I realized something the other day though, sometimes its absolutely necessary for me to take these dives, as much as I hate them, and it feels like they are bringing me backwards not forward. Its like this, I said to a friend the other day, that sometimes something needs to break in order to fix it, if we don't accept that we crash sometimes, how can we acknowledge that work is needed to rebuild.
Not in any way saying its fun, or even a good thing. I just had to acknowledge this the other day in order to get myself out of a few weeks of absolute despair.
